A couple of days ago the World’s #1 marketing company Google introduced the all-new Google Instant Search. An innovative and new way of performing search on the web and on-demand. This particular enhancement to the already advanced search algorithm that Google has will give users around the web access to information in a matter of seconds. On Sep. 8, 2010 during the LIVE broadcast on the YouTUBE Google Channel the team developers and one of the co-founders of Google Sergey Brin held a conference in honor of this new enhancement that the company has brought to consumers.
Some are still skeptical about the true performance of Google Instant Search and are yet to be convinced. Although here’s what we know for sure based on the public information that Google has disclosed. The primary purpose of this particular feature is to help save time for searchers that perform search queries at Google.com So far Google has proven that on average the new Instant Search feature can save between 2 – 5 seconds on average search query. In Layman’s Terms the average search query return result takes about 9 seconds to be processed from the time you type the keyword phrase into the search box and you’re displayed with a search result on the SERPs. The page loading process has been eliminated here and you’ll simply be displayed with the return results as you type in the search query box.
Technology of Google Instant Search
As we stated above many are yet to truly understand the huge breakthrough of this particular technology. Based on the information that Google has provided about Google Instant Search these are the specs that we’re aware of at the moment. In general most users tend to type slower than they read. The average time between keystrokes on your keyboard is around 300 milliseconds. Although it takes about 30 milliseconds on average to glance at information and process it accordingly. This is where the Instant Search feature comes into place and simplifies that entire process by utilizing a globally renowned Ajax technology.
During the live video broadcast of its new product the global marketing innovator stated that this particular search feature will be permanently available across the web within the next 3-4 months. This also includes the inclusion within mobile search and custom Google Search Engines across the web.
